The official Twitter account of the late legendary superstar Dilip Kumar, a well-known entertainment superstar, is closing down. After the death of Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu has now decided to close his Twitter account. In fact, Dilip Kumar's Twitter account was handled by Faisal Farooqi, but now he has tweeted to fans that the family has decided to close Dilip Kumar's account.

After much discussion and deliberation and with the consent of Saira Banu ji, I hv decided to close this twitter account of beloved Dilip Kumar Saab. Thank you for your continuous love and support.

In a tweet, Dilip Kumar's spokesperson Faisal Farooqi said, "After a lot of discussion and deliberations and with the approval of Saira Banu Ji, I have decided to close this Twitter account of dear Dilip Kumar Saab. Thank you for your constant love and support. After Dilip Kumar's announcement to close his official Twitter account, the actor's fan family once again remembered his favourite actor while respecting the decision.''

Dilip Kumar passed away on 7th July. The actor had been suffering from age-related illness for the past few years and breathed his last at Hinduja Hospital in the city. Saira is still in shock after her husband's death. Just a few days ago, Saira's health deteriorated after which she was admitted to the hospital. It may be recalled that Dilip Kumar married Saira Banu in 1966. Dilip Kumar worked with Saira Banu in the films Bairag, Duniya, Gopi, and Sagina.
