Mumbai:: Dilip Walse Patil, the Maharashtra Home Minister, announced on Thursday that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

I decided to get tested for COVID-19 after experiencing mild symptoms. I was found to be positive. My health is stable, and I'm following my doctor's instructions. In a tweet, Patil said, I urge all those who came into contact with me during my Nagpur and Amravati tours, as well as other programmes, to get tested, the Minister said.

During the state cabinet meeting, the Home Minister met with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aditya Thackeray, among others. Both of them will be tested, according to an official. "Patil also convened meetings of several police officers, including district superintendents and police inspectors, to assess law and order issues," a source said. These officers have been told to keep an eye out for symptoms, according to the official.
