LONDON: Former Indian captain and former chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar brilliantly scored opener Rohit Sharma's century against Pakistan. He said that Rohit has matured. He has been playing for many years and is an experienced player. I think he is one of the best players in the world. The innings he played was amazing. It was a pressure match. Rohit's regular team-mate Dhawan was not playing due to injury. He batted responsibly. He is a world class player.

Former opener Krishnamacchari Srikanth compared the Indian team captained by Virat Kohli to the West Indies in the '70s, saying most of the opposing teams are terrorized by India. "This team is becoming like the West Indies team of the seventies in which the opposing teams were already under psychological pressure. Teams are worried about facing India and go backfoot.

"Everyone knows how brilliant Rohit is, but I think Lokesh Rahul's innings were more important. The biggest question before this match was how the team would play without Dhawan. The top three batsmen scored. Sharma and Rahul shared century and Virat also played excellent innings which is good for India.
