Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming movie has been mired in controversies. Recently the actor shared that he is going to star in Jaswant Singh Khalra's biopic. Looks like the actor and the film are in trouble. According to media reports, the Punjabi actor and musician had to face a lot of trouble on the sets of the movie. Apparently a man had even threatened to commit suicide.

Sikh member threatens: If reports are to be believed, "Diljit Dosanjh who was currently busy shooting for the biopic in Amritsar, faced a lot of condemnation and protest on the sets." The report further states that, there was a group of Sikhs who opposed Diljit playing the role of Jaswant Singh Khalra as he is not holy according to them. Diljit was also threatened by a Sikh member that he would commit suicide if he continued shooting for the movie. The makers have stopped shooting and have completed shooting in Amritsar.

Will shoot Amritsar in Chandigarh: Diljit requested the protesters that he is going to play Jaswant Singh Khalra with full faith and permission is also going to be given to him to shoot. However, he refused, saying that he was a foreigner and westernized and therefore did not want him to play the role of a martyr. After getting the special permission, the producers will not shoot in Amritsar but in Chandigarh and the Sikh group does not want them to continue shooting in their city."
