Lucknow: On the afternoon of Friday (21 January 2022), the father of a minor girl, who was a victim of rape, shot dead rapist Dilshad Hussain, who was out on bail, at the civil court gate of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The accused had come to Gorakhpur to appear on the first date of the case. According to the report, 30-year-old Dilshad Hussain, accused of rape, was a resident of Vidhipur under Sakra police station area of ​​Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. He is accused of raping the victim, a resident of Barhalganj area.

On Friday, he had come to Gorakhpur for the date of trial, but due to Corona there is a ban on going inside the court. For this reason, after reaching the civil court's gate, the accused Dilshad called his lawyer at the gate to meet him. However, before her lawyer could reach the gate, the father of the rape victim shot her in the head with a pistol, killing her on the spot. Dilshad Hussain was accused of rape and under the POCSO Act and was out on bail. At present, the police has arrested the father accused of his murder.

Confirming this incident, Gorakhpur Police has said on Twitter that, 'Today, the respondent Dilshad Hussain was shot by the plaintiff Bhagwat Nishad near the Collectorate premises. The accused has been caught with a weapon. The deceased himself was accused of raping the minor daughter of the accused. All senior officers are present on the spot. It is being told that the policemen who were present there at the time when the bullet was fired in the court, they ran away. However, after this incident, the lawyers have put a question mark on the security system of the court. There was a heated argument between the lawyers and the police officers on the spot regarding this issue.
