New Delhi: The ODI and T20 series played between India and New Zealand respectively have ended. Team India, after defeating New Zealand, is now fully ready to welcome the Australian team. The two teams will play a four-match Test series respectively under the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Veteran batsman Dinesh Karthik, who is out of Team India before the start of the series, has come under speculations with a tweet. He has told that he is fully prepared to play the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

The 37-year-old Indian veteran tweeted, "I made my Test debut against Australia in India, well, it's going to happen again!" After Dinesh's tweet, cricket fans have started speculating whether he is joining the Test team in place of Shreyas Iyer. But, let me tell you that nothing like this is going to happen. Karthik can be seen doing commentary during the Border Gavaskar Trophy. However, Karthik had never commented in the Test format before.

Dinesh Karthik has played 26 Test matches for the country in his Test cricket career, scoring 1,025 runs in 42 innings at an average of 25.0 including a century. His best score in the Test format is 129 runs.
