Darbhanga: People from nearby districts including Mithanachal and Kosi in Bihar have received another new year gift. Direct flight service to Ahmedabad has been started from the new airport at Darbhanga. The passengers who arrived to catch the first flight to Ahmedabad on Monday saw tremendous enthusiasm.

However, the first flight landed at Darbhanga Airport about 1.25 hours late than its scheduled time. Even then people were seen to be happy. The commencement of air services to Ahmedabad will benefit the people of many districts. On Monday, the flight service from Darbhanga airport was also adversely affected due to inclement weather. Bengaluru-Darbhanga and Darbhanga-Bengaluru flight were cancelled due to low visibility. The Mumbai-Darbhanga flight was diverted to Patna.

However, the flight was made to Darbhanga land after about three and a half hours. The passengers suffered due to cancellation of flight from Bengaluru and from here. The flight from New Delhi to Darbhanga could also be landed at Darbhanga Airport after a lot of popular. This has been confirmed by the director of Darbhanga Airport, Pandemonium division.
