Despite the COVID-19 and the on & off lockdown situation since March 2020, wedding bells have been ringing in the film industry every now and then. This time, the wedding bells have started to ring at director Shankar's home. According to latest reports, Aishwarya Shankar, the eldest daughter of director Shankar, will marry TNPL cricketer Rohit Damodaren in Mahabalipuram on June 27.
Rohit Damodaren, is the son of well known industrialist Damodaren, who owns the Madurai Panthers Cricket team. Interestingly, Rohit is the captain of the team as well. Aishwarya, who happens to be Shankar’s eldest daughter, is a doctor by profession.
While the wedding is planned for a close family circle due to the lockdown restrictions, the reception post covid is planned in a big way inviting celebrities from across the country. Director Shankar, who is known for his expensive, huge and noticeable sets in films and having grand audio launch events, will be missing the grandeur at his daughter's wedding.
