Washington, D.C. is the capital city of the United States. It is located on the East Coast and is the political center of the country, housing the White House, Congress, the Supreme Court, and various government agencies. Washington is also a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is known for its beautiful landscapes, including mountains, forests, and coastline.

The largest city in Washington State is Seattle. George Washington was the first President of the United States, serving from 1789 to 1797. He was one of the Founding Fathers and played a crucial role in the American Revolutionary War. As the capital of the United States, D.C. is dominated by political institutions and activities.

It combines in West Virginia and eventually drains into Chesapeake Bay. The river is renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, while also providing water for almost 5 million people. The river is also popular for migrating fish and dolphins that move to its warmer waters during the winters.

Capitol Hill and the White House : The Capitol Hill boasts of the most popular site in Washington DC- The United States Capitol building. It accomodates the judicial and legislative segments of the US government, and the staff which helps it work. The world-famous White House is where the US President resides, and you can visit this place for free. You can absolutely not miss the Capitol building and its spectacular Rotunda dome.

Along with the Senate and the House of Representatives, the Capitol is also home to some startling statues, paintings and other historic exhibits. The other highlights in Capitol Hill include the Supreme Court, Library of Congress and the U.S. Botanic Garden. You can also treat your tummy with some delicious meals in Barracks Row.
