Kolkata: The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee received two major setbacks in West Bengal yesterday. Testerday, TMC disgruntled MLA Mihir Goswami has resigned. He has joined the BJP. Yes, in addition to him, Mamata Banerjee's close aide and Transport Minister Shubhendu Adhikari of Trinamool Congress in the state have also resigned. His resignation has been approved by Governor Jagdeep Dhankar.

Yesterday he resigned from the West Bengal cabinet. Now, meanwhile, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said that because of Mamata Banerjee's arrogance and corruption, Shubhendu Adhikari was angry that is why he has resigned. If he join BJP, we will welcome them. Apart from this, he expressed the possibility that 'many TMC leaders will join the BJP in displeasure before the assembly elections'.
He had also said, 'Last month, he had decided to leave all the posts of the party as he felt that the party did not need him.' There are also reports that the officer sent his resignation via fax to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and also emailed to Governor Jagdeep Dhankhad.
