Indian actress Divya Dutta is celebrating her birthday today. Divya Dutta was born on September 25, 1977, in Ludhiana, Punjab. When Dutta was very young, her father passed away. Her mother's name is Nalini Dutta, who is a government servant as well as a doctor.  After her father's death, Nalini's mother followed Dutta and his brother alone. In an interview, Dutta said, she had taken the inspiration from her mother Nalini for the single mother's character for the film 'Gippy'.

Divya Dutta was a good student and she was even great at academics. She did her initial studies at the Sacred Heart Convent School.  Thereafter, she has studied further from the Cambridge School, Ludhiana. Divya Dutta's family belonged to the medical field. But Divya wanted to do something different. She was fond of acting since childhood.  Before coming to Mumbai, Dutta started modelling in her home state. Later Dutta came to Mumbai.

Dutta started her career in 1994 with the film Ishq. Dutta started her career as a lead in 1995  opposite Salman Khan which was a flop at the box office.  After that, Divya started working as a supporting actress in films. In the year 2004, Divya worked in Yashraj Films  'Veer Zara'. Besides Dutta in the film, Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee were in the lead roles. Even after such a big actor in the film, Divya managed to draw the attention of the audience and critics with her performance. Divya Dutta has achieved successes in her life.
