For the past several days, there has been talk on the internet that popular TV actress Divyanka Tripathi may be seen playing Dayaben in 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'. It is said that he has recently got an offer to play the character. However, Divyanka Tripathi has termed the reports as lies. She says, 'she has never received an offer for the role of Jethalal's wife Dayaben.'
According to a website, a source close to Divyanka said, "Divyanka is not talking about Asit Modi for the role of Dayaben. Such nonsense doesn't help except that it confuses the public, especially the fans of the show." Actress Divyanka Tripathi has recently returned after completing the shoot of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 11' hosted by Rohit Shetty. She was in Cape Town in the past and has now returned. Talking to a website Divyanka confirmed that no proposal was received from the Tarak team.
She said "Such rumours are mostly baseless and non-factual." At the same time, when Divyanka was asked, 'Will she accept it if she is offered for the show?' Divyanka replied, "It's a fantastic show with a big fan following but I don't think I'm excited to do it. I am looking for a new concept and a new challenge.''
