New Delhi: There is great news for the employees of public sector banks. In a way, this good news is considered as a gift of Diwali. Before Diwali, payment of arrears to bank employees' account has started. Employees are being paid before the final agreement between the employees union and management for wage revision. It is known that this is happening for the first time in the banking history of India. Public sector bank employees have been waiting for pay revision since November 2017.

An employee of a public sector bank said, employees can opt for arrear payments. If they take the outstanding share, the amount paid will not be less than Rs 50,000 while it may exceed Rs 100,000. ' Since 2017, there have been about 30 rounds of talks between the United Forum for Bank Unions (UFBU) and the Indian Banks Association (IBA), but have not yielded any results so far.

The employee said, "It is interesting to see the bank management dues working fast for salaries, but the negotiation of salary revision is progressing at a snail's pace." The employee said that the government has calmed the demand of the unions by paying a portion of the salary dues. He said that the salaries are usually paid to the employees after the signing of the salary agreement between the employees and the management. Let us tell you that in recent times, employees of public sector banks have gone on strike.
