Talking about the guidelines issued by the government, green crackers can be burst from 8 pm to 10 pm on Diwali and Gurpurab. At the same time, the Government has also said that the bursting of firecrackers is not allowed in Mandi Gobindgarh and Jalandhar. Earlier, a ban on firecrackers was also imposed in Chandigarh, Delhi and Haryana. Recently, an order has been issued by the Department of Science and Technology stating that the orders have been issued in view of the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
At the same time, he has said that only green crackers can be used in the state.
