Chandigarh: The Punjab government has issued a ban on the use of firecrackers on upcoming festivals like Diwali and Gurpurab to prevent pollution. Yes, it is being said that only green firecrackers can be lit on Diwali and Gurpurab this time. In fact, the Punjab Government has taken this step to prevent pollution. The government has banned the use of firecrackers in view of upcoming festivals like Diwali and Gurpurab. Recently, instructions have been issued by the Punjab government stating that only green firecrackers will be allowed to be operated on Diwali and Gurpurab.

Let me tell you that earlier many States had banned the use of firecrackers. Talking about the guidelines issued by the government, green crackers can be burst from 8 pm to 10 pm on Diwali and Gurpurab. At the same time, the Government has also said that the bursting of firecrackers is not allowed in Mandi Gobindgarh and Jalandhar. Earlier, a ban on firecrackers was also imposed in Chandigarh, Delhi and Haryana. Recently, an order has been issued by the Department of Science and Technology stating that the orders have been issued in view of the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

At the same time, he has said that only green crackers can be used in the state. Let me tell you that it is also being said that the use of these firecrackers will reduce pollution and at the same time only two hours have been given to bursting crackers. Apart from Diwali, this rule will remain in force for Gurpurab, Christmas and New Year.
