New Delhi: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Kanimozhi has once again raised the issue of linguistic controversy. Kanimozhi accused the AYUSH secretary that the officer had asked participants who could not speak Hindi to leave the session during a webinar of the ministry.

DMK MP Kanimozhi has written a letter to AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik complaining about the matter. Kanimozhi has also demanded to initiate an inquiry into the case in her complaint. Earlier too, DMK MP Kanimozhi had raised the issue of perceived linguistic bias. Kanimozhi had alleged that when she asked an officer of the Central Industrial Security Force at the airport to speak in Tamil or English, she was asked 'if you are Indian, do you not know Hindi?'

While raising this alleged sentence, Kanimozhi tweeted and asked "I would like to know since when being an Indian became equivalent to knowing Hindi, is it necessary to know Hindi to be Indian?
