New Delhi: Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar talked about the India-China border deadlock on Thursday. During this, he said that 'India and China are in talks to resolve the border impasse and this is a confidential matter between the two countries". He said this during an online conference. In the meantime, when asked specifically about the outcome of the ongoing talks with China, he said, "Discussions are going on and this work is in progress." When asked about the situation, he said, "Negotiations are going on and this is a confidential matter between the two countries".

He said, "I am not in a position to say too much in public. I certainly do not want to make any guesses for this in advance". Talking about the situation in Tibet ahead as well as the developments in the Line of Actual Control (LAC), he said, "I don't think we have other issues, which clearly have nothing to do with the current situation in Ladakh. ''

He was also seen saying that relations between India and China had improved since the signing of several agreements since 1993 to maintain peace along the border. The military standoff between India and China has started in eastern Ladakh for almost five months and it is not over yet.
