Can you believe a person telling about his previous life? Well its kind a freaky and obviously you won't and will consider him a fool. But the fact is nothing is impossible and reincarnations do take place. This has been proved long back in the 1920's.

Shanti Devi ,born on 11 December 1926,Delhi,claimed to remember about her past life. At the tender age of 4 she confessed her parents about seeing incidences about her previous life. She told them that her actual home is in Mathura and that she is a married woman and a mother of three.

Her real name is Ludgi and she died ten days after giving birth to the third child. Discouraged by her parents, she left home at 6.  Back home, her matter was investigated by her teacher and headmaster and they found that she could actually speak the language of Mathura and that the name of her husband was Kedar Nath.

The headmaster then investigated about the merchant and found out that there was a merchant whose wife Lugdi Devi, died nine years ago during childbirth. Kedar Nath then travelled to Delhi, pretending to be his own brother but Shanti took no time to realize that he actually was. As she knew a lot about Lugdi Devi, Kedar Nath was soon convinced that she is indeed the reincarnation of her wife.

Mahatma Gandhi too investigated about the case and took Shanti to Mathura where she recognized several family members including the grandfather of Lugdi Devi. Realizing that Kedar did not kept the promise he made to Lugdi on her deathbed, she refused to stay with him and returned home with her parents.

She also narrated her near death experience of Lugdi Devi in an interview. She died on December 27, 1987.
