Kim Kardashian West is a reality television star, entrepreneur, and social media influencer. Keeping Up with the Kardashians, her family's E! reality show that follows the Kardashian-Jenner clan's everyday life, pushed her to fame in 2007. She also owns and runs KKW Beauty, a popular cosmetics and fragrance business. Kim Kardashian (born October 21, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, United States) is an American television personality and entrepreneur who rose to international prominence as a result of her personal life, which was chronicled in precise detail on the popular reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2007–21).Today she is celebrating her 41st birthday.

Kim was the youngest of four children, with older sister Kourtney and younger siblings Khloé and Robert. Her father, Robert Kardashian, rose to national prominence as a member of O.J. Simpson's legal team during his 1995 murder trial, and her mother, Kris, later became her manager; after the couple divorced in 1989, Kris married Olympic gold medalist Bruce (later Caitlyn) Jenner (1991–2014), and the couple had two children, Kendall and Kylie. Kim graduated from high school in 1998 and went on to work as a personal assistant to socialite Paris Hilton. 

Kardashian married Damon Thomas, a music producer, in 2000 when she was 19 years old. In 2003, Thomas filed for divorce. Kardashian subsequently blamed their divorce on her physical and mental abuse, claiming she was high on ecstasy at the time of the wedding. Kardashian began dating singer Ray before her divorce was official. 

Kardashian has relied on her own companies in recent years, launching KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance in 2017. She founded the shapewear company Skims in 2019, which was formerly known as "Kimono" but was renamed after considerable backlash. Kardashian has also been more involved in politics, pushing President Donald Trump for prison reform and advocating for Alice Marie Johnson's pardon. She has repeatedly campaigned for the acknowledgment of the Armenian genocide. Kardashian also intends to pursue a career as a lawyer by completing a four-year law apprenticeship. 

Kardashian's net worth was estimated to be $45 million in May 2014. Forbes stated in 2015 that she "earned more this year than ever before, nearly doubling her profits to $53 million from $28 million in 2014," and that she "has monetized celebrity better than anyone else." The Kardashian Kollection, which brought in $600 million in 2013, and the Kardashian Beauty cosmetics line, Kardashian-branded tanning products, the boutique-line DASH, as well as sponsored social media posts for $300,000–500,000 each post, account for a large portion of her profits. Kardashian is worth US$350 million as of July 2018.
