Toronto: You will be shocked to know that now you can predict the sex of a baby with the help of the mother's blood pressure, says study. Further, the research has found that, if the woman possesses lower BP before her pregnancy is possible to give birth to a baby girl.

The study was conducted by the researchers led by Endocrinologist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Canada, and according to it, a woman with high blood pressure likely to give birth to a baby boy, while those with lower BP likely to be conceived with a baby girl.

According to Retnakaran, “this suggests that a woman's blood pressure before pregnancy is a previously unrecognised factor that is associated with her likelihood of delivering a boy or a girl".

"This novel insight may hold implications for both reproductive planning and our understanding of the fundamental mechanisms underlying the sex ratio in humans," he added.
