New Delhi: The case of beatings with emergency ward doctors at a hospital in the national capital has come to light. On Saturday night, some people thrashed doctors in the emergency ward at the Bara Hindu Rao Hospital under the North Delhi Municipal Corporation. One doctor suffered a serious head injury in the attack and was also beaten up on-duty with another doctor.

The doctors were also beaten up with other doctors who came to rescue them. All the doctors of the Residents Doctors Association of the Hindurao Hospital are on strike on Monday. OPD will remain closed for the whole day on Monday due to the strike. Though emergency services will continue, residents will not be sitting in the doctors.
Physicians say the strike will continue till all their demands are met. They demand that those who are involved should be arrested as soon as possible, the security grade should be increased. Security incharge may be dismissed here. He says that senior residents, junior residents and interns are the only ones to beat.
