New Delhi: Residents from across the country have gone on strike. Due to a strike by doctors in many states, including Lucknow, from the national capital Delhi, hospital OPD services are also being impacted. Doctors are on strike because NEET PG counselling has yet to take place, despite the fact that the results have been available for some time.

Counselling has been put on hold by the Supreme Court. Striking doctors say that the third wave of the corona is in jeopardy because to a lack of new doctors, putting them in the same situation as the second wave. On November 27, the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) announced a strike to protest the lack of NEET PG counselling. These protests are still ongoing. For the third day in a row, OPD services at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital, and Lady Hardinge Hospital in Delhi have been suspended.

Not just in Delhi, but also in Lucknow, is this the case. Residents at Lucknow's King George Medical University (KGMU) have also gone on strike. Except for emergency services, OPD and ward operations were also brought to a halt. On Monday night, FORDA issued a statement stating that the dharna will not be stopped at this time and that they will wait until Friday (December 3rd). If no favourable results are received by December 3, all normal services in hospitals across the country would be halted.
