Raipur: Rahul Sahu, who fell into a 69-feet deep borewell in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh, was rescued after a 104-hour-long operation. Rahul's father said on Thursday that he sees Lord Jagannath in the rescue worker who saved my son. Because the escape of my son would not have been possible without the blessings of Lord Jagannath.

Rahul Sahu, 11, was rescued from a borewell on the day of bathing full moon on Tuesday due to the bathing ritual of Lord Jagannath. Rahul's father Ramkumar Sahu told a group of media in Odisha that we believe that Lord Jagannath had sent ndrf rescue team to take out my son.  

Recalling an incident, he said Rahul had gone missing for some time due to a family visit to Puri several years ago. He was later found near a gate of the temple of Lord Jagannath. Thanking the rescue team from Cuttack, especially the NDRF, the father said, "I see Lord Jagannath in them. They stopped eating and spent sleepless nights to save Rahul. It is through their efforts that my son has come out of the mouth of death. Ramkumar Sahu said that rahul will go to Puri again after his recovery, rahul is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The boy had contracted the infection due to a long stay in the tunnel. The father said he would be kept under observation for another 7 days.  Cm Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said that a documentary should be made on the operation carried out to remove 11-year-old Rahul Sahu, who was trapped in a borewell in Janjgir-Champa district. He said that so that people should be made aware of this and such incidents do not happen in future.
