Having dark elbows is a common issue that can make one self-conscious about wearing short-sleeve dresses and tops. Here are ways to fix your problem at home.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil has vitamin E that can help lighten the skin tone and prevent dryness by keeping the skin hydrated and well moisturized. It can even repair dark and damaged skin. After a shower apply coconut oil on the elbows and massage or you can even add lemon juice to coconut oil and massage it on your elbow. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and wash off.

Sugar

Sugar exfoliates dead skin cells and softens the skin. Take equal amounts of sugar and olive oil and rub it on your elbow. Wash it off with warm water. Do this daily for faster results.

Baking soda

Baking soda helps in removing dead skin cells and reducing hyper pigmentation. Make a paste with baking soda and milk. Apply it onto your elbows and leave it for 2 to 3 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a natural skin lightener. Apply aloe Vera gel to your elbow and leave it for 20 minutes. Do this twice a day for instant results.
