Dog terror in Banswara, bitten more than 15 people including women and children

Banswara: A dog has created panic in the Banswara district of Rajasthan causing panic among the people. Dog menace was witnessed in several villages under Sajjangarh Panchayat Samiti in Banswara on Friday. More than 15 people were injured one after the other by a black dog in Marana, Zakodianatha, Maiyawat, and Khuntnirupa villages after 6 pm on Friday. Among the injured are children and women who have been admitted to the hospital.

The dog reportedly first attacked people in Marana village where 12-year-old Arpita was attacked by a dog from behind. The dog then bit a woman named Hakri in the village and then bit 11 people in neighboring village Zakodia Natha and also attacked one person each in Maiyawat and Khuntnirupa villages. All the injured persons were then referred to Banswara Hospital for treatment.

The dog has hunted down young children, cut off someone's ear, bitten someone's cheek. Someone's hand was cut on someone's head and someone's hand bled. All the injured are currently undergoing treatment in the surgical ward of the district hospital. Police and administration have urged people not to allow children to leave the house at present as to where and in what condition the dog is now. There is no information about it.
