Coronavirus infection has shaken the whole world. Today China is facing criticism of spreading the virus across the world. The Chinese have still not lost their hobby of eating animals. Despite the outbreak of an epidemic of bats in Wuhan last year, now the market of dogs in Yulin City is started. Thousands of dogs will be slaughtered in this annual 'Dog Meat Festival', ie, Dog Meat Fair.

This fair is being organized despite the government's campaign to discourage the eating of wildlife and pets. Dogs will not only be tortured here, but the risk of spreading corona from people gathering will also increase. However, the organizers of the fair say that keeping the corona in mind, the number of people in the program has been kept low. In view of the new rules being made by the government regarding animal eating, animal rights activists have expressed hope that the Dog Meat Festival going on in Yulin will be the last. He says that in order to avoid an epidemic like corona in the future, the habits of catering to the Chinese will have to be changed not only for the animals but also for their own health.

After the outbreak of Corona in Wuhan, there has been increasing pressure on the Chinese government to stop the wildlife trade and enact a law to protect pets. This is the reason why he banned the sale and consumption of wild animals at the end of February this year. Dog food was banned in the city of Shenzhen in April due to protests over the purchase and sale of wildlife. The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture has now decided to put dogs in the category of pets. However, the impact of this decision on the fair going on in Yulin is not clear.
