New Delhi: Domestic flights have also been banned due to the growing threat of Corona virus. Flights have been banned from 12 pm on Tuesday night. However, this restriction will not be applicable on cargo flights. Airlines have to plan for landing at their destination before 12 pm on Tuesday night. Rail service has already been banned.

Due to Corona virus infection, now the rail and air services of the country have been put on brakes. It is noteworthy that there are around 6500 domestic flights in the country every day and 144.17 million passengers travel every year. The outbreak of Corona virus is increasing in the country. So far 9 people have lost their lives. There are 434 Corona patients in the country. More than 50 new patients reported and 4 deaths recorded.

Lockdown has been declared till 31 March due to corona virus in Delhi, Rajasthan, Bihar, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh. Along with this, 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh have also been locked down till 25 March. Indian Railways has decided to stop operating all passenger trains by 31 March.
