New Delhi: The price of non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinder has come down to Rs 100.50 per cylinder. The domestic cylinder will be available at Rs 637 in Delhi from July 1. Oil companies have given this information. With the reduction in the market price of non-subsidised domestic cylinders, the refill for subsidized domestic cylinders will have to be paid at Rs 100.50 less.
Domestic consumers of subsidized cylinders will have to pay Rs 637 instead of Rs 737.50 on receipt of refill from July 1. A release issued by the public sector company Indian Oil Corporation on Sunday gave details in this regard. It says that the price of LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) has come down as a result of the fall in international prices and the change in the dollar-rupee exchange rate. The new rate will come into effect from July 1.
For subsidized LPG cylinders, consumers are to pay at market price at the time of refill. The subsidy amount is then credited to the consumer's bank account. Consumers get 12 cylinders a year on subsidy. After the latest fall in the price of LPG cylinders, the consumer will get a subsidy of Rs 142.65 per cylinder and the applicable rate of cylinder will be Rs 494.35 in July 2019.
