New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is constantly attacking the BJP for the action of MCD against encroachment in Delhi. On the other hand, the AAP government in Punjab is also running a campaign against encroachment. The AAP government of Punjab has claimed that it has freed 1000 acres of land from encroachment in 12 days. In fact, the BJP-ruled MCD is running a bulldozer campaign against encroachment in Delhi.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has alleged that the BJP plans to destroy 63 lakh houses as part of the encroachment action. He said that, 60 lakh houses are located in raw colonies and slums and three lakh houses in pucca colonies. AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj demanded early municipal elections in Delhi, saying that these elections will decide whether to take action on such a large scale against unauthorized constructions and settlements. He alleged that the corporations of BJP-ruled Delhi have started this campaign towards the end of their tenure. Whereas BJP leaders have got unauthorized construction done across Delhi by taking bribe while living in the Municipal Corporation for the last 15 years. Saurabh Bhardwaj further said that, if the BJP's campaign against encroachment continues like this, it will make 63 lakh people homeless.
AAP government launched a campaign against encroachment in Punjab:-
At the same time, even though AAP is opposing the BJP over encroachment in Delhi. But in Punjab itself, AAP is running a campaign against the government's encroachment. Punjab Rural Development Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Thursday claimed that 1000 acres of panchayat land has been freed from encroachment in the last 12 days. He said that the Ministry of Rural Development had started a campaign last month to remove encroachments from the panchayat land. Under this campaign, 1008 acres of land has been freed from encroachment in 12 days. He said that encroachment has been removed from the land worth 302 crores under the special campaign. ,
He told that people themselves are coming forward to vacate the panchayat land. He said that people voluntarily vacated 417 acres of panchayat land in Chaleri Kalan village of Fatehgarh Sahib district. He told that the state government will get the veterinary hospital constructed on this land. Earlier on Wednesday, CM Bhagwant Mann had said that those who have illegally occupied government or panchayat land, if they do not vacate it, then action will be taken against them.
