New Delhi: A blind teacher and his wife were stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in the Mohan Gardens area of the national capital. At the time of the incident, the husband and wife were alone in the house. The deceased have been identified as Haribalbha Singh (51) and Shanti Devi (47). Hariblabh Singh was a music teacher at a school in Kanjhavala. Police said that the evidence from the incident is still pointing to the fact that the attackers who carried out the incident were known to Haribalbha.

Police officials said that at first sight, it shows that the elderly couple has not been murdered with the intention of looting. Police said Hariballbha lived with his family at Bhagwati Garden Extension in Dwarka Bend. In the family, Harivallabh and his wife lived in peace, besides daughter Sight and son Rishabh. While her daughter is doing an MBA, her son is an engineer. On Saturday evening, when the daughter entered the flat, she noticed that blood was spread on the floor.

Shanti Devi was blood-soaked on the bed. Hariblabh was also blood-soaked on the floor. His son was out of the house at the time of the incident. The case was then reported to the police. The police team reached the spot. The crime team started collecting evidence from the spot. According to the police, no evidence of looting from the flat has been found so far. So, nothing can be said about the motive behind the murder.
