Begusarai: Two persons lost their lives on the spot while two others were seriously injured in firing between two groups while gambling in Begusarai. The injured have been admitted to the primary health centre.
It has been learnt that the incident took place in Baghi Ward No.25 of Lohia Nagar police station area. The practice of gambling on the occasion of Diwali has been going on for a long time. Some people were gambling late on Thursday night. By Friday morning, the two groups had a fight between the games. Meanwhile, some members of a group started firing. In protest, people from other groups also left no chance in the firing. Two persons of one group were killed on the spot while two others were seriously injured.
There was a stir among the people after the incident. A crowd of people from nearby areas is on the spot. Based on the information, police have also reached the spot and identified the bodies and are investigating further. According to police, 9 live cartridges, three kiosks, ganja pudia and chillum have been seized from the spot. The cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained. Some people are being questioned.
