Dozens of Palestinians injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers in West Bank

According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, scores of Palestinian demonstrators were injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers in multiple West Bank cities and villages. The clashes allegedly occurred on Friday.

According to the organisation, three people were shot with live ammunition, 71 with rubber bullets, and scores with tear gas inhalation. Eyewitnesses stated fierce battles erupted between the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan, located south and east of Nablus city, respectively, and near the town of Kafr Qaddum, located east of Qalqilya city.  They said that dozens of anti-settlement Palestinians burnt tyres and threw stones at Israeli soldiers stationed on the settlements' edges. However, the Israeli authorities have said nothing about the incidents.

According to Palestinian officials and eyewitnesses, clashes occurred near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, where Israeli soldiers deployed tear gas against protesters.  Local residents, Palestinian and foreign activists took part in a demonstration against an Israeli court judgement to evict eight Palestinian families from the area, according to Fouad Al-Amour, a Palestinian activist.

He claimed Israeli soldiers used stun grenades and tear gas on the demonstrators, killing hundreds of them.
