Washington - US top public health experts Dr Anthony Fauci has appealed for an impartial inquiry into the origin of the corona epidemic. He said he did not agree that the corona virus was naturally born. During an interview, Fauci was asked if he was still sure the virus had developed naturally.
In response, he said, 'Of course it is not, I don't agree that the virus has come naturally on its own. I think we should continue to investigate what happened in China and continue until all the information related to it is found'. A Fox News report quoted Fauci as saying that people who investigated the case certainly say that the virus was caused by an animal reservoir that infected a person and then spread it.
Dr Anthony said, 'Although it can be something else, which we need to explore. That's why I said I'm completely in favour of an investigation that attempts to detect the origin of the virus.' Calling for an investigation into what happened in China over the virus, he said 'there is no evidence of what China has done at present, although I am in favour of further investigation into the matter.'
