New Delhi: Speaking on Section 370 in the Lok Sabha and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, Union Minister and MP from Udhampur, Dr Jitendra Singh said, "Why the Congress has objection to the removal of Section 370, we are pursuing the agenda of the Congress.

Dr. Jitendra Singh said, "Just 66 years ago, on 11th May 1953, through Amritsar Punjab, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee made an arrest and told Atal Bihari Vajpayee, "You go back and tell the whole world that I have entered Jammu and Kashmir."

Dr. Jitendra Singh said, "If Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had been there today, he would said go and tell whole world that Modi has abolished Section 370. He said that Section 370 was the biggest mistake after Azad and today is the time for pray. Had Nehru played a different role at that time, history would have been something else today.

Jitendra Singh said that it was The Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who had made the deal with Junagadh and Hyderabad, but Nehru believed that he knew Jammu and Kashmir more than Sardar and therefore he was kept out. Nehru did not take responsibility properly and Sardar Patel was expelled from the Jammu and Kashmir case even while he was home minister.  Jitendra Singh said that if Nehru had not intervened in the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, it would have been a mess and would not have brought the Bill.
