New Delhi: The '2-DG' drug has been developed by DRDO to tackle the global epidemic corona virus. The first batch of 10,000 doses of this drug is released. At the same time, emphasis is being laid on increasing its production in view of the future. The drug, made by a team of scientists from DRDO, has been allowed to use emergency, which is very helpful in fighting the corona virus.

Large scale production of '2-DG' is being started at centres other than Hyderabad. Referring to the drug, a DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) official said that the drug helps corona patients recover and reduces their dependence on oxygen. That is, after taking it the patient is taking less time to win from the corona virus, they are getting right quickly. On the other hand, they are rarely in need of oxygen.

Scientists explained that when a virus enters the body, it cheats human cells and makes copies of itself, increasing its numbers. For this it takes a large amount of protein from the cells. The drug produced by DRDO is a "sudo" glucose, which prevents its capacity from growing.
