Varanasi: It has now been decided to implement a dress code for darshan in the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple of Varanasi. Now devotees will be able to visit Baba Vishwanath only in special clothes. However, this system has been implemented only for those who have to touch the idol of Lord Shiva. Other devotees will be able to see Lord Bholenath as before.

According to the new system, it has become necessary for women to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple by wearing sarees, while for men, wearing a dhoti kurta is mandatory. This decision was taken in the meeting of Kashi Vidhat Parishad on Sunday night. According to the verdict, devotees will be able to touch the idol till 11 am. People wearing pants, shirts, jeans will be able to see from a distance. The new dress code will be implemented soon.

This system is currently in place in Mahakal temple in Ujjain and on the same lines, in Kashi Vishwanath, you will have to wear a garment without touching it, only then touch will be allowed.
