First ever driverless shuttle bus tested in London

To test the automated driverless car, Greenwich stepped on the London's street. A total of 100 people will travel via this bus for the next three weeks. The system connected vehicle can travel up to 16 kilometers as a part of a test. Only four people can be accommodated at once and it is not provided with a steering or brake.

Graeme Smith, chief executive at Oxbotica developed the shuttle technology said in a statement, "We hope to gain acceptance from members of the public for vehicles sharing this kind of space with them."

Smith further added in his statement, "It’s been designed to be safe and fail-safe specifically in a pedestrianized environment."
