Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Wakf Board Chairman Wasim Rizvi has been accused of rape by his driver's wife. The woman, who had gone to Sadatganj police station along with several lawyers, has demanded strict action against Wasim Rizvi. The woman has accused Rizvi of blackmailing her through obscene videos and photos.

Police said an inquiry is being conducted based on the woman's complaint. The woman told the press that Wasim Rizvi used to sexually abuse her driver husband by sending him out on the pretext of some work. The Shia Cleric sits up against Rizvi in Lucknow since he demanded an FIR against Shia Waqf Board member Wasim Rizvi for hurting muslim religious sentiments. He said, "In view of this and in view of my safety, I fired the driver a few days ago. The house I gave him was also vacated. Now, efforts are being made to tarnish my image by making such baseless allegations".
