New Delhi: Big news has come out for motorists. The government is giving you a lot of comforts. Now you will get rid of a big problem. You will no longer have to make rounds of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to get a driving license. The central government has greatly simplified the rules for making a driving licence. As per the changes made by the government in the rules for driving licences, you will no longer be required to take any driving test by going to RTO for DL. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified these rules, and these rules have also come into force. Not only this, those whose driving licenses are lying on the waiting list of the RTO will also get relief from it.  

According to the news given by the same ministry, now you will not have to wait for the test in the RTO to get a driving license. You can register yourself in any recognized driving training school for a driving license. They will have to take training from the driving training school and pass the test there, a certificate will be given to the applicants on behalf of the school. On the basis of this certificate, the driving license of the applicant will be made.  

The new rules:-
There are also some guidelines and conditions from the Ministry of Road and Transport regarding the training centres. This includes from the area of the training centres to the education of the trainer. Let's understand it.  

- Training centres for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and light motor vehicles must have at least one acre of land
- Two acres of land will be required for centres for medium and heavy passenger goods vehicles or trailers.
-The trainer should have passed at least 12th standard and have at least five years of driving experience, he should be well aware of the traffic rules.   
- The ministry has also decided a teaching curriculum. For driving a light motor vehicle under this, the duration of the course will be a maximum of 4 weeks which will last for 29 hours.
- The course of the driving centres will be divided into 2 parts. Theory and Practical.
- People will have to spend 21 hours learning to drive on basic roads, rural roads, highways, city roads, reversing and parking, climbing and downhill driving etc.
-The theory part will cover 8 hours of the entire course, it will include understanding road etiquette, road rage, traffic education, understanding the causes of accidents, first aid and driving fuel efficiency.
