New Delhi: In a bid to control road accidents due to bad weather, the Uttar Pradesh Police has launched a drive to install refractive tapes on vehicles in Noida. Along with this, the traffic police of Gautam Nagar district have put bright tapes on the barricades and pillars on the side of the road, so that the thing in front can be seen at night and even if there is fog or dew. In Uttar Pradesh, visibility is greatly reduced in the cold weather, in such a situation, the traffic police have made these tapes mandatory for all vehicles.

Speaking to the media, Ganesh Prasad Saha, deputy commissioner of police (traffic) of Gautam Budh Nagar in UP, said, "Traffic police have put up bright tapes at the DND toll plaza. We have seen that due to poor visibility, high-speed vehicles collide with the divider of the toll plaza. These tapes will improve visibility and increase safety on the road. We have pasted these tapes on tractors, trucks and other vehicles as well. If this rule is not followed, the driver will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000."

These glowing tapes are visible from far away in the dark or even in the mist caused by bad weather, which maintains visibility. Apart from this, the advantage of putting these stickers in the vehicle is that if the backlight does not appear properly to the previous vehicle, then these refluxers are definitely visible. This ensures that the vehicle is moving in the right direction. Raghavendra Kumar, popularly known as Helmet Man, has also worked closely with the Noida traffic police in this campaign, he said that most of the accidents happen due to vehicles parked on the road during fog.
