Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha said that the passengers can help the drones to get rid of the crowd of crowded cities. For this, students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) can help in making such equipment.

In the technology festival organized by IIT Bombay, Sinha said that the government is working on bringing the rules for the drone sector, which will help in faster and better development of such technology.

He said, 'There is a large opportunity in the drone. Like electric vehicles and drones, the same electric motor and battery will be used. We are working on implementing some rules for drones which will help in making the technology more progressive. " Drones are being used today in many applications, including things like delivery, monitoring, and mapping.

He said that now people are working on making passenger drones. In order to achieve the opportunities available in this area, we need to develop our technology. If we managed to develop it efficiently, the cost of the passenger drone service would be along the lines of the rickshaw.

Citing the example of the Aadhaar and payment app BHIM initiatives, Sinha said, “Financial technology is one area where there is immense scope for innovation. We can develop such financial products and services that will create sizable companies. We have the volumes and scale…we have to build on that.”
