Lucknow: In Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the team of Medicines Department has raided the illegally operated medical stores and clinics in the area. The sample found at the medical store has been sent to the lab for examination. On receiving the complaint of illegally operated medical stores and clinics in the villages and towns of the area under Sultanpur development block on the CM portal, on the instructions of the DM, the team of drug inspector raided the medical store operated near Bhadaiya CHC.

On seeing the inspection team, some chemists ran away from the spot after closing the shop. After waiting for several hours, the inspection team reached the countryside Kotwali when the shopkeepers did not return. The Drug Inspector has directed the police to close the shops in the name of three shops after registering an FIR in the police station and sending the records related to the shop to the department.

Giving information to the media in this regard, Drug Inspector Anita Kuril said that continuous raids would be conducted on illegal clinics and medical stores in the area.
