Drugs Case: Aryan got bail under 'Bail and Not Jail' principle, voice raised for other prisoners

Mumbai: Film actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. He was arrested in a drugs case. There are a lot of reactions from people on social media. Retired IAS Surya Pratap Singh has also responded to the issue. He writes that Aryan Khan has been granted bail under the principle of 'Bell and Not Jail' Congratulations on that. This principle was given by Justice Krishna Iyer in Balchand's case in 1977 during the debate on the fundamental rights of the citizen. Today, thousands of people are lodged in jails for not getting bail due to lack of lobbying. Now is the time for their hearing.

Congress leader and advocate Kapil Sibal also tweeted on the issue. He writes, "Finally, bail is a result that touched our hearts, but it is sad for those who rot in prison. No media wants to hear their story. That too (their story) should touch our hearts.'' Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court in the cruise drugs case. Aryan Khan was arrested from a rave party released on a cruise by the Narcotics Control Bureau.

The case was also heard by the district and sessions court before the Bombay High Court but both rejected Aryan Khan's bail plea. But now the Bombay High Court has given bail to Aryan Khan as well as his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.
