Drugs Case: Court sends Bharti Singh and husband Harsh to judicial custody

Popular comedian Bharti Singh is in trouble these days. The NCB has tightened its grip on Bharti and her husband Harsh Limbachiya. Bharti and Harsh have been pronounced by the Mumbai Fort Court to be in judicial custody in the drugs case. However, Bharti and Harsh have filed their bail application in the court. It will be heard on Monday.

Bharti and her husband Harsh have been sent to judicial custody till 4 December. She will be shifted to Kalyan Jail, while Harsh will be taken to Taloja Jail. Since this is a case of drug use, the bail petition will be filed in the fort court. Now the hearing on both the applications will be held on Monday, after which it will be known whether Bharti will get further relief or not.

The NCB raided Bharti's house on Saturday in Mumbai. During this time, Ganja was seized from there. During interrogation, Bharti admitted that she had taken drugs. Bharti was detained after about 6 hours of questioning. Thereafter, Harsh was also detained late at night. On Sunday, Bharti and Harsh were first taken for medical and COVID-19 examination and appeared in the court at 11.30 am. Two drug peddlers along with Bharti and Harsh also appeared in the court. The NCB had sought remand of Bharti's husband Harsh from the court but could not succeed.
