Mumbai: Iqbal Kaskar, brother of international don Dawood Ibrahim, has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday (June 23, 2021). According to media reports, NCB had recently seized two large consignments of heroine. These drugs were brought by punjabi people from Kashmir to Mumbai by bike. About 25 kg of hashish was seized in the case.
During the investigation of the case, NCB found the strings of the smuggling case linked to the underworld. This was followed by an investigation into drug trafficking and mafia connections. Now, the Mumbai NCB has arrested Iqbal Kaskar. He is under interrogation. During the investigation of the case, NCB reportedly got vital clues related to terror funding and underworld connections for supply of drugs. Based on this, NCB had also conducted raids at several places in Mumbai. Iqbal Kaskar was arrested after questioning the arrested accused.
Iqbal was earlier arrested in 2017 in connection with a ransom collection case from businessmen and builders in Thane. He was charged under MCOCA. He was extradited from uae in 2003 and brought to India.
