New Delhi: The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) announced the launch of "Environmental Literacy Week" starting from  Sunday (May 29), in collaboration with several departments and organisations.

This year's World Environment Day is especially significant because it honours the 50th anniversary of the Stockholm Conference, designated June 5 as World Environment Day.

The week-long awareness drive will focus on sustainable living with nature throughout Delhi, with a special focus on legal literacy with respect to environmental challenges and legislation, and will end on June 5, , the DSLSA said.
The campaign will focus on "Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature," with the slogan "Only one Earth," according to an official statement.

"During this week-long campaign, the DSLSA will conduct and participate in plantation drives in various parts of Delhi; sensitise and encourage people through Nukkad Nataks, seminars, and webinars to live in harmony with nature by planting more and more trees and taking the pledge to protect rivers and wildlife in order to have compassion for living creatures, as well as to reduce reliance on plastic and promote the importance of recycling and reusing plastic," the DSLSA added.
