New Delhi: A total of 35 central universities will admit students through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) introduced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for post graduate courses. However, some well-known universities like Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will not be admitting on the basis of CUET PG for this academic session.

The admission process for PG courses is still going on, under which universities can conduct their own separate entrance exams. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has said that the academic council will soon take a decision on adopting CUET-PG for the upcoming academic year. However, no date has been set for the meeting yet. Panjab University, Chandigarh University is also considering the decision to take cuet-PG from the upcoming academic year. This year post graduate admissions will be done only through the Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) 2022.

Meanwhile, DU and Jamia Millia Islamia are also admitting students through their respective common entrance exams.   Delhi University Registrar Vikas Gupta said, "Since CUET-PG is not mandatory for central universities, DU has decided not to adopt it this year. The decision to adopt cuet-pg will be discussed with the academic council and a decision will be taken thereafter. For this year, we will continue DU's existing entrance exams for PG courses. '
