The girl who made India proud by bagging Silver Medal in Rio Olympic PV Sindhu has proved herself of a semifinal berth of the BWF Dunai Super Series finals after her straight-set victory over Japanese shuttler Sayaka Sato on Thursday which took place at the Sheikh Hamdan Indoor Stadium, Dubai. The 36-minutes long match ended 21-13, 21-12 in favor of the tall Indian as Sindhu stormed into her second semifinal in the Super Series Finals.
This not Sindhu's first season of the Super Series Finals. She had been at this stage before, in 2016. Winning two out of her three matches in the group fixture, which also held avenging her Olympic defeat to Carolina Marina. But in the semi-final, she succumbed in a three-set thriller to Japanese fourth-seeded Sung Ji-Hyun.
But this year, things might get twist out a little different for the tall Indian, who has had a phenomenal 2017. The 22-year-old started the year off with the Indian Open Super Series victory over Marin. But in the BWF World Championship bagged a silver after losing to Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in the finals.
