Rajinikanth's 'Pedanna' to release during 'Diwali' Tollywood has earned the lowest numbers at the box office. Despite the festival, the film reportedly made a weak opening in both AP and Telangana. This is because the film has poor content with supposedly predictable narration which has led to word-of-mouth publicity about 'Pedanna'. Similarly, the other Telugu dubbed multi-starrer Tamil film 'Anime' also failed in theatres as the film set lower expectations than other co-releases and upon release, the film failed to impress the audience.

Directly speaking of Telugu movie 'Manchi Rozulu Vachayi', which is co-starring upcoming Telugu actor Santosh Shoban, the paid preview show also fared poorly in theaters due to poor response. The film reportedly opened with a low opening considering its theatrical rights, although in terms of content it is better than the rest of the films released for this Diwali.
