Mumbai: The day-to-day corona infection in Maharashtra has surprised everyone. In such a situation, the vaccination process has picked up and everyone is being encouraged to get the vaccine done. Meanwhile, it is being reported that mumbai has once again been short of vaccine. Now, out of 73 private vaccination centres in Mumbai today, Thursday, 40 centres are not going to be vaccinated due to shortage of corona vaccine. On the other hand, the BMC has made an appeal as the remaining 33 vaccination centres have a small number of vaccines available.
Last Wednesday, BMC appealed that "only those who have to take another dose of vaccine should come to the vaccination centre. The vaccine is likely to arrive late on Wednesday night. If the vaccine arrives, vaccination will also be introduced at BMC and government vaccination centres." By the way, you all must be aware that there is not enough vaccine doses available in Maharashtra. As a result, the Covid-19 vaccination campaign will not be launched from May 1 (for adults). Meanwhile, lockdown-like restrictions were extended till May 15 on Wednesday as cases escalated rapidly.
State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said in a statement yesterday that "people in the age group of 18-44 years will be vaccinated free of cost at government vaccine centres but will have to pay in private institutions. He also said, "Yes, a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray decided to get free vaccination. The move will put a burden of Rs 6500 crore on the state.''
