Bangalore: The Duleep Trophy final is being played between India Red and India Green. The match is being held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. India Red bowler Jaydev Unadkat has wreaked havoc against India Green. On the first day of the first innings of India Green, Jaydev Unadkat took 4 wickets for 58 runs. Unadkat's brilliant bowling helped India Green take eight wickets for 147 runs till 49 overs at the end of the opening day of the final of the Duleep Trophy cricket tournament.

Due to bad weather, only 49 overs could be played and by the end of the day's play, Mayank Markandeya was playing 32 runs which scored the most runs for the team. At the other end Tanveer ul Haq was present at the crease scoring eight runs. India Green's decision to bat after winning the toss was not beneficial for it. It lost wickets at frequent intervals and no major partnership could be formed for him.

Apart from Unadkat, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Warrier and Aditya Sarwate got one wicket each. Unadkat started wickets for India Red, who lbw captain Faiz Fazal (12). Unadkat made Siddhesh Lad his second victim as soon as he arrived. The second opener, Akshat Reddy, fell victim to a scuffle, taking the team's score to 65 for four.
